Our youth hostel was situated in the upper west side, very close to Central Park. Let's try the subway and walk downtown! Deeply immersed in Times Square with its speedy walking people, chins rise and eyes are caught by screens covering the walls of unlimited-high buildings. Surrounded by lights and colors, hard to not be attracted by shops. M&M's.... our favorite!
Small street sellers have their own take away business of bretzel and hot dog. But we prefered to have a proper dinner at our hostel instead.
Even tired we were very excited to visit the Empire State Building by night. On the top we had a beautiful sight of the city and bridges around. Then a cold but soft wind warned us it was time to come back and go to bed... tomorrow might be an energy requiring day!
